Rachael was 29 years old when she died on 4th December 2016, surrounded by her family. She had spent four days on life support. Rachael died through suicide.

Rachael was a beautiful, funny, generous young woman. She loved her family and her new puppy Alfie. But she also had some demons that she battled with and eventually them demons won. Rachael had some mental health issues for a few years, she had good days and bad days. On her good days she would light up any room and be so much fun.....on her bad days she couldn't even get dressed.

Suicide is a national crisis. It is the leading cause of death among young people MALE and FEMALE  under 35 in the UK

Papyrus are a national charity for the prevention of young suicide. They deliver awareness and prevention training, provide confidential support and suicide intervention through HOPELineUK, campaign and influence national policy and empower young people to lead suicide prevention activities in their own communities.

80p in every £1 goes directly towards saving young lives through keeping HOPELineUK running, outreach community work and campaigning

£20 can pay for one 20 minute call to help a young person in distress overcome their pain and stay safe

£195 covers the cost of training someone in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills

£500 enables 30 members of the community to become more suicide aware

£1200 helps PAPYRUS deliver 5 mental health and suicide awareness sessions to young people
