Story
It is official!! I am bungeeing of the Cleddau Bridge while sitting on a bike, to raise awareness of 34 amazing people cycling 400k, from Vietnam to Cambodia, in the stifling heat, during November, to raise much needed funds for the Paul Sartori Foundation Hospice at Home Service.
The Paul Sartori Foundation Hospice at Home service is very close to my heart. If everyone could walk in my shoes for a day, you would see the amazing work our clinical team do, to help people living in the later stages of a life limiting illness die at home if that is their wish. Our team not only support the patient, but also their family and friends who manage day in and day out to keep their loved ones close by, at a very difficult time, in the comfort of their own home.
The hands on care, equipment loan, specialist advise, physiotherapy, complementary therapy, bereavement counselling, training and Advanced Care Planning services are available absolutely free of charge, 24/7, 365 days a year.
It is no mean feat raising £2500 a day required to sustain this vital service, so this is my chance to do my bit to raise awareness of the Hospice at Home service and the Vietnam to Cambodia Cycle Challenge team, as well as add a little to the pot.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and if it is possible, for donating to this wonderful charity.
