Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Stay at home and save lives has done just that and from a family that is in the at risk group we will forever grateful for this. However the down side is, as a charity we have been unable to raise fund through events like the summer stalls etc. Each year we raise a % of our funds through these events and with them all cancelled this has had a big effect on us.
Also, as a small charity we rely on bigger companies supporting us each year. Unfortunately because of COVID and the lockdown these companies themselves have not been in a position to raise funds for us. They just aren't able to sponsor us or families as they themselves are finding it difficult to get through the whole pandemic.
Each year we raise for the following, meaning right now we are working on 2021 however we still have ongoing bills for 2020. Whilst we are able to sort some of these the funds will quickly go as each month we still pay around £600 out. Then come December all of next years site fees and insurances will need to be paid. At present we do not have this and with us being unable to get out there and raise the funds or even lean on the companies that are there as they too can't do the events we are now in a position where the charity is getting dangerously close to folding.
Come the end of the season we will not be able to afford 2021 fees and we will have np choice but to close the charity down which is just disheartening for us and all the families we would have been able to help
this is why we have set up this page in the hope to get us through COVID and come out the other side in a place where we can continue to offer these breaks away
In a time where we are all uncertain and finances are tight we appreciate this is difficult and we are so grateful for each and every £1 donated. AS it was once said 'every little helps'
Please all get sharing this page and get us through the next few months so we are in with a fighting chance of surviving the COVID virus which will allow us to help many more families in the years to come
