Story
We (The Sam Pilcher Trust) sadly had our shop broken into, we believe sometime after midnight, Saturday 30th January. Our window was smashed, pictures of Sam thrown on the floor and the till pulled out through the broken window and stolen. Fortunately there was almost no money in it however the culprit/s have caused more financial loss to us, than they gained.
At a time of such struggle, we as a small charity are struggling to pay rent already. We are volunteer led and all profits directly support poorly children battling cancer and their families in the local area. We continue to receive requests for help and without the shop being open, funds will not go on forever. Costs to make repairs from the burglary will directly impact our ability to help children who really need it. We have never said no to a grant request and want to continue operating the shop as soon as covid rules allow so we can keep helping people.
We need to raise funds to fix the smashed window and replace damaged goods. We would also like to be able to install a simple camera system to protect our shop, which as a small charity we would ordinarily be unable to justify. Any contributions to support this would be appreciated and mean we can secure our lovely shop, ready to re-open to continue fundraising for children when rules allow.
Thank you for supporting us.
