Story

Hi! Cheers for dropping by and checking this out, the two of us decided to do this firewalk for the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) on Thursday, November 15, it's a really great charity and we'd totally appreciate any donations to help us raise the necessary, so if you can spare it, please do! :)

Q&A

You're wearing shoes right?

No! We're trotting out barefoot across five foot of red hot embers smouldering at more than 1200'f.

Is it dangerous?

Judging by the list of banned substances (lotions, potions, alcohol, drugs, offensive weapons, dangerous articles, skateboards, rollerblades, rollerskates, bikes, scooters, balls, frisbees, balloons, pets, nail varnish remover, nail varnish, toe rings, ankle bracelets, foot jewellery etc.), yes!

How does this work then?

ZSL say: "Our Fire Walkers will begin the evening by attending a 'Nothing is Impossible' seminar. Here you will learn to face your fears and turn your fear state into unstoppable power to overcome any obstacles and challenges." ...unstoppable power!

Can I come watch you both destroy your feet and laugh?

Laughing sounds kinda mean but following the seminar, the Fire Master will then lead us poor schmucks out into the zoo grounds where friends and family will be able to witness us take on the path of fire! You can buy spectator tickets for a fiver in advance here: http://www.zsl.org/support-us/challenge-events/zsl-london-zoo-fire-walk,1737,AR.html It's late so all the animals are sleeping and you can't go wake em up but there'll be food and drinks and Sam and I limping and weeping to entertain you.

What's this I hear about tigers?

Among other things, ZSL are raising money for their tiger conservation work in Sumatra as well as to develop a new flagship Sumatran tiger exhibit at ZSL London Zoo - Tiger Territory.

The tiger is desperately endangered throughout its range and its future is in our hands. Over the last decade the wild tiger population has been decimated, with a massive 95% drop in numbers.

What if I can't make it?

We're hoping to get someone to film us and will post any vidoes and photos up here so do pop back after the event and take a look

Cheers so much to everyone who has donated so far!
