From the minute we stepped into the SPRING Suite on the Maternity ward at Poole Hospital, SPRING Support have been with us. Every step of the way.

It has been such a heartbreaking experience losing our beautiful twin girls Ivy & Ava to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrone at 22 weeks. But, SPRING have enabled us to deal with a very difficult and personal situation in an incredibly supportive and caring way.

We've benefitted from the private suite, on the maternity ward, many times; when we delivered the girls and for as long as we needed after. We were able to use the suite again for as long as we wanted while spending time with our girls. The SPRING suite is also where we met Julie, our lovely Bereavement Midwife. Julie has been great from the start, helping us with funeral arrangements, counselling and so much more. SPRING have been there for us every step of the way, knowing what we need and want as well as helping us deal with our emotions through this terrible time. We feel encoraged and privileged that we will continue to recieve this support for many months and even years to come.

We started our collection for SPRING as we wanted to give back a little something to help other parents in similar situations. And we plan to continue doing fundraising events in the future to support the charity and keep the memory of Ivy & Ava alive through their wonderful work.

The SPRING Support are currently aiming to build 2 new suites in the Maternity Hospital at Poole to help other parents, like ourselves, deliver and spend time with their little ones. We cannot stress how valuable these suites are, allowing families to be together in a safe and comfortable environment. They also intend to buy new Cold Cots to allow parents to spend more time with their lost children.

All of the work that SPRING do is funded by charitable donations and events, so every penny helps them to continue to do their amazing work.

Our initial donation of £600 comprises many donations, £250 from ourselves. The remainder generously pledged from our close family, friends and work collegues. For all this we are very grateful!
