Why I'm supporting Dementia UK...

Despite the BBC's latest report regarding the decrease in future risks of Dementia, today sufferers still exist.

I have seen Dementia effect and greatly impact upon the lives of many friends and family members where it has proven exacting and arduous. This is why I want to help.

Dementia UK does not take away Dementia but provides the necessary support reducing the impact Dementia has on its victims and their families.

How you're donation will contribute....

Your donation will contribute to the development of Admiral Nursing and to support the practice of Admiral Nurses.

Admiral Nurses are mental health nurses specialising in dementia care working collaboratively with health and social care professionals, to improve the experiences all of those effected by dementia.

This help includes:

- Psychological support to help family carers and people with dementia.

- Helping family carers to develop and improve skills in care giving.

- Practical advice.

- Skilled person-centred assessments of the needs of family carers and individuals with dementia.

- Clear guidance about appropriate services and source.
