Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Marilla's Misfits,  are raising money for St Barnabas Hospice in Lincoln, by taking part in theTough Mudder, 12 mile assault course. Marilla was our mother and friend, and would have been the first to sign up to an event like this. She died of bowel cancer in August 2015 after a brave 2 year battle. She was glamorous, fun loving and brave throughout. The last 3 weeks of her life were spent in St Barnabas Hospice in Lincoln. The warmth, support and care Marilla and her family received from all of the staff at the hospice was phenomenal. The hospice has a small amount of NHS funding but relies mainly on private funding from charitable donations. Any of us, at any point in our lives may find that we or our loved ones need the help of a hospice and we would like to help St Barnabas Hospice continue with their wonderful work in memory of Marilla.
