We fundraise for patients at The DMRC to maximise rehab potential & outcomes

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit out JustGiving.

Grace and I work for the ADVANCE (Armed Services Trauma Rehabilitation Outcome) Study at the DMRC. A collaborative study between the Academic Department of Military Rehabilitation, Imperial College London and King’s College London looking into the long term psycho-social  and physical  outcomes of military personnel who served in the Afghanistan War of 2002-2014. It aims to enable learning and appropriate support for our injured serviceman and their families.

The DMRC benevolent fund is a volunteer-run charity that provides funding to support holistic, occupational and social integration opportunities for serving military patients at the DMRC.

Inspired by many of our participants determination and challenge driven personalities Grace and I will be taking on the 75 mile National Forrest Trek.

The National Forrest Trek is also partnered by the National Memorial Arboretum and The National Forest. Please help us raise money for these great causes.

About the charity

The DMRC Benevolent Fund purchases special goods and services for patients' rehabilitation, beyond that which is provided by the public purse. We create opportunities for patients to engage in social activities, which lets them forget about their injuries and rehabilitation for a few hours.
