Story
As you know, Julian recently lost his battle with cancer aged just 39.
Julian spent his last five weeks at Trinity Hospice Clapham.
Last year Trinity Hospice gave specialist end of life care to more than 2,000 people with illnesses such as cancer, cardiac, respiratory, renal and neurological diseases. Trinity Hospice is a registered charity and receives only 35% of its income from the NHS, therefore it must raise more than £5 million each year to continue providing the specialist care the community relies on.
Having the usual misconceptions of a Hospice, I was devastated when told he was too unwell to be cared for at home. I can only say that in this respect of our difficult journey we lucked out!
Trinity is a truly amazing place, staffed by a team of dedicated, professional angels. Without Trinity, there would have been nowhere suitable to go. We were fortunate to have got one of only 14 beds for the whole of South West London (there will be 28 soon!)
As a tribute to Julian, I am keen to raise money for Trinity.
I would ask that you help me in that quest.
Many thanks in advance for all your generous support.
