Story
If you're reading this and you know me, you probably know that I got hit by a car around the end of September, fracturing my pelvis and causing a slight brain injury + several other injuries that were more minor. I'd been planning to run the London Marathon so I'd already sorted my space out, and I got my confirmation email while still in hospital.
Aaaand with just a couple days before I fuck my legs up again, an update and a thank you;
I've not trained with as much frequency and mileage as I'd have liked to, but despite that I do feel mentally and physically ready which is good. I'm declaring it here that I'm going to try to never slow to a walk at any point, so hold me to it and yell at me if I do (unless my pelvis falls apart or some other sort of crippling injury happens, in which case help me out and then yell at me.)
I certainly couldn't have gotten this far without the support I've had, so I'd like to say a huge thanks to my doctors for a solid 10/10 operation that has left my lower half stronger than before, my physio Sarah for being a hero and fixing me, QMA and especially Reign because you've all got mine and everyone's backs always and you're a wonderful bunch, the whole committee and Clare for everything they've helped me with in the past few months, Mary for putting up with my brain damage, and lastly my family; cheers for all the sponge baths. Not long to go now and it's safe to say I'm doing this for all of you as much as I am for myself. Consider your faith and patience repaid in a very indirect way and one that will never be relevant to you unless you also get badly hurt. Which I hope doesn't happen.
Any donation is very much appreciated since the Air Ambulance is a boss organisation and they deserve a lot of money xoxo
