Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page

Starting on the 26th September Sam Ward and Rich Stanton will cycle from the most northern Eden team - Blyth, in the North East to the most Southern - Bow, in central London. The 350 miles will take us 3 days.

Day 1 is a 144 mile ride from Blyth to Doncaster

Day 2 is a 115 mile ride Doncaster to Cambridge

Day 3 is 91 mile ride that finishes in London

We are raising money for the Eden Network which is part of the Message Trust. Eden has been planting teams of urban missionaries into some of England's most deprived neighbourhoods for 17 years. Since 1997 they have planted 34 teams and recruited over 300 volunteers to move into housing estates to bring a message of hope and transformation.

I (Sam) joined a team as a volunteer in June 2000 and count these years as the most precious of times. Rich became a Christian out of chaotic life filled with drug abuse, self-harm and crime; a life with no hope. He's convinced his life would have been different if an Eden team was able to input into his life as he was growing up.

The Eden Network would love to plant 12 more teams in the next 12 months and for this they will need financial support and passion volunteers.

I hope you can help with the money.
