On May 7th 2011, I fell from the 5th storey of a building in Soho, London. A year on, I'm going to be running the Belfast marathon.

11 months ago, I fell 70ft onto concrete, suffering multiple life threatening injuries. A fractured pelvis - which also cut through one of the main arteries in my abdomen, punctured lung, compound femur fracture, compound elbow fractures, compound calcanium fracture, fractured ribs 7, 8 & 9, compound jaw fracture & a subdural haematoma (bleeding of the brain). I was in an induced coma for 22 days.

One week after the accident my parents were called up at 4am, blue lighted through london and told to say their goodbyes to me. Fortunately I was in a hospital full of some of the best specialists in the country, who threw some metal inside me and put me back together.

I'm doing this to raise money for the Intensive Care Unit of St Mary's hospital, whose staff saved my life, looking after me for 1-2 months before I was moved to the major trauma ward.
