Story
I am raising money in memory of William Fyfe, the son of our lovely friends Jenna and James who sadly passed away on the 21st of March 2019.
Here is William's story in Jenna and James' words:
"William was born on the 24th of February; we were blessed with a beautiful and healthy baby boy.
Sadly, just two and a half weeks later, William was taken into hospital following a seizure. He was quickly diagnosed with bacterial meningitis after a lumbar puncture procedure at Exeter RD&E.
We were transferred to Bristol children’s hospital the next day where William continued to be treated with powerful antibiotics. Despite neurosurgeons trying to save William’s life by draining fluid from his brain, unfortunately, there was nothing else they could do to save our little boy.
William’s life support was removed and he passed away peacefully on the morning of 21st March.
Whilst in Bristol children’s hospital, we met the most amazing and kind staff who do one of the hardest jobs imaginable looking after sick children every day. We have therefore chosen to support The Grand Appeal in memory of William.
We cannot thank the staff enough for caring for William in his final days as well as the compassion they showed us. They are truly inspiring people and made the worst week of our lives as bearable as possible by doing anything they could to help."
Please donate whatever you can to support Bristol Children's Hospital, whose staff work so hard to save lives and support sick children. It will help me get through all those miles too!
