Story
Big Hello everybody I would like to let you know about some charity fundraising taking place on September 11th – 15th 2014. Sam Digger, Daniel Rollason, Craig Gummery and Ian Powell will be riding our bicycles an accumulative of 310 miles from Coventry to Paris.
We will be setting off from Coventry on September 11 and riding a total of 85 miles down to Camberley / Sandhurst, after a nights rest we will set off on day 2 to complete the next stage of 70 miles down to Portsmouth to catch the ferry over to France. Day 3 is the longest stage of the ride taking on a 95 miles route from Caen – Everux and then we will embark on the final leg of the ride 65 miles from Everux to the Eiffel tower in Paris. The bike ride is in aid of Zoë’s Place, a local Baby Hospice charity in Coventry. Zoë is the Greek word meaning "gift of life". The hospice is a registered charity providing palliative, respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged birth to five years, suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Zoë’s Place Trust runs the only baby-specific hospices in the UK. The hospice is 100% funded by charitable donations but is currently limited to being only able to open for part of the week due it's need of funding, for every £25 we raise it will give a child 1 hour of essential quality care. You can read more about their valuable work on their website, http://www.zoes-place.org.uk/coventry/
I know it may seem early to be raising the sponsorship but we have to raise a minimum of £1500 each so any contribution you could make would be very much appreciated!
Please give generously, Thanks!
Please leave a note to say who your sponsorship is for!
