Story

This year has been a year of improvements, and have been pushing myself both personally and professionally to do more. In this same vein, I joined the team GLP entered for the Prince's Trust's Million Makers competition this year. It seemed like a way to do some real good, stretch myself and grow personally, and would give me some diversity in my role.

Alongside the business style fundraising we're partaking in, we each have personal goals that we set ourselves to help raise money for the Trust. I, someone who runs casually and usually stops for breath at least once on a 10k, have made the somewhat insane decision to run Ealing, Cardiff, and Oxford half marathons back to back later this year.

I've got 12 weeks of training ahead of me alongside work and normal life, it's going to be a real challenge. I'm hoping to raise £1,250 for the Prince's Trust; they do really excellent work to improve the lives of young people across the UK, so any donations you can give would be going to a really brilliant cause.

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.
