Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As I have turned 40 at the end of last year, I have decided to complete multiple challenges before I reach 41.
It sounds like a mid life crisis (it may well be) but I felt like I wanted to challenge myself both physically and mentally before I got too old! My list of challenges include things that have I always wanted to achieve but never got round to doing, so I thought I would do it all in one year to make them even more of a challenge. Over the year I have 26 challenges and achievements to complete in total. Below is a list of some of my challenges/ achievements that I will be taking on.
Aeroplane flying, Bike around the Island (48 m), Colour run, Donate blood, Great North Coast charity walk (19m), Half Marathon (13m), Instrument (learn to play the Ukulele), Jersey relay marathon or full marathon (if my body is up for it!), Kayak to the Ecrehous, Loose Weight (1 stone), Open water swim (Castle to harbour), Paragliding (Tandem), Runway run, Sandstorm Race, Triathlon, Xmas swim, Zoo Durrell challenge (13km).
Whilst doing my larger personal challenges, I thought it would be great to raise money for a good cause at the same time. In my job, as a teacher, mum, auntie and friend, I have seen local children who have needed support in various ways. The 'Children's Variety Jersey' are dedicated to helping underprivileged children including those with disablilties and illnesses. All the money stays in Jersey.
If you would like to sponsor me at any point in the year or after a specific challenge, I would be extremely grateful. I will keep you posted on how I get on with each challenge.
