Story
Now, I’ve never been a big runner, and I’ve always preferred a Mars to a Marathon so you can imagine my surprise when I found myself signing up for a 26 miler in Paris in April 2011! Anyhow, once I sobered up, I threw myself into the training and so far so good. I'm 10 weeks in, I've clocked up 250+ miles, I've ran in rain, snow and minus temperatures and have seen more of Liverpool in the last month than in 15 years of living here. To make all of the chafing worthwhile I've decided to run for charity and have chosen Macmillan for all the great work that they do and I would be really grateful if you could stick your hand in your pocket and sponsor me. The big day is April 10th – and I can’t wait! Best case scenario I have an amazing day in the city of love, discover hidden mental depths and cross the finish line in a decent time. Worse case scenario - I lose the use of both legs for 24 hours afterwards, do a 'Paula' on the Champs Elysses and get arrested by the Gendarmes. Either way I WILL finish this run and will hopefully raise a shed load of cash for charity in the process – sounds like a good deal to me!
Please sponsor me…. Thank you!!
