Clare spent her final days at Hayward House where she and her family were shown so much care, love and support. Clare really valued the gentle soothing massages given to her by the occupational therapist which helped to relax her and ease her pain.

That is why I am raising vital funds to keep this service going so that our loved ones can also benefit from this service in their time of need. I aim to raise £2000 in Clare's memory to fund massage oils and aromatherapy oils for the next 2 years or so.

I have known beautiful Clare since school. She was an amazing teacher and used to tutor my daughter Elsie which as you can imagine was a huge challenge! Clare used to come to me for massage and so I know how much she would have loved and benefitted from massage in her final days. 

It will mean so much to me if you can help me raise this vital funding to keep this service going. In return, I will get truly out of my comfort zone by swimming 6.9km in Colwick lake on Saturday 3rd September. This is equivalent to swimming Haweswater in the Lake District. I have a love/hate relationship with open water swimming and often have a panic attack! but I WILL complete this challenge in loving memory of my friend Clare x
