Story
As most of you know, the last couple of years have been a bit of a bumpy ride to say the least but it takes a lot more than that to get a good Osborne down! 2014 has been self-titled as the ‘year doing’ so in a moment of madness, among other things I appear to have registered to complete the Great North Run, just the world’s largest half marathon!
After taking up running to try and prevent the evil ‘C’ from returning, I have chosen to run for a charity that is close to my heart, and who have helped me through some of my darkest moments. There are many people who will find themselves on the wrong side of their own cancer battles, so to think that through Macmillan I may be able to help, even just a little, means a great deal to me.
My friends and family are the best ever and you’ve each helped me more than you will ever know. It’s hard for me to ask you for a little more now, hopefully you can forgive me this small request, but this is something I really want to be a part of and being able to raise some money for an excellent cause makes it all the more worthwhile.
I’ve been training as hard as I can but if I manage not to fall on my face and actually cross the finishing line it will be a minor miracle! Thank you so much for any support, survival tips and motivational speeches, but most of all thank you for any of your hard earned pennies. Every one means such a lot to me and the amazing work this charity does caring for people with cancer.
Lots of love & thank you again,
Sally xxx
