ABP Southampton Half Marathon · 23 April 2017 ·

We provide expert care and support to people affected by life-limiting illness

Story

I will be running the Southampton Half Marathon on 23 April 2017, in memory of my Dad.  Dad was always a keen runner, so it seems fitting to run this as a tribute to him and this will be the furthest I have ever run.

Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2016 and sadly passed away just three months later at Countess Mountbatten Hospice in Southampton.  Throughout his illness, the support given to him by Countess Mountbatten Hospice was exceptional.  The kindness and care they provided was so touching and so much appreciated.  I would therefore like to raise money for them, to thank them and to enable them to continue helping others and their families.  If you are able to sponsor me by donating anything at all, both Countess Mountbatten Hospice and I would be very grateful.  Thank you x
