Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Acacia Family Support is a charity very close to my heart. They offer a free service and is available to mums and dads in the Birmingham area who are experiencing pre and postnatal depression and anxiety. Acacia provides a wide range of individual and group support to help clients recover from the symptoms associated with pre and postnatal depression and anxiety. Their services are delivered across Birmingham and they include telephone befriending, individual befriending sessions, group workshops, telephone support, practical support in your own home and massage therapy for parent and baby.
I am currently training to become a befriender for Acacia, and the main reason why is because I was one of the women who was in need of this service when I was pregnant; I can't tell you how much their support and help guided me through an extremely difficult and challenging chapter in my life.
I want to and need to say thank you for the help I was given by this service, and I know that all charities, just like this one, rely on kind donations to help them to continue the amazing work that they do.
So please, give as little or as much as you can to this extremely worthy charity. I can tell you first hand, how much this charity helps those who are vulnerable during and after pregnancy - words can't explain the gratitude myself and so many other Acacia Support users have.
The 3 hour Dance Fitness Marathon, will consist of 6 different instructors, from Zumba, to Clubbercise, to Bhangra Fitness, each doing a 30 minute slot, and for all participants to go for it, as much as they can, for the entire time. If it sounds like your cup of tea, please feel free to join us on Sunday 23rd September, at Greenwood Academy, Castle Vale, from 10am to 1pm.
Finally, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many many thanks in advance,
Warm regards
