Story
Hi, thanks for visiting my page!
I have been privileged enough to be offered a life-changing opportunity, I am so excited to share that, after an extensive but supportive process, I have been officially APPROVED to receive a psychiatric service dog through Little Angels Service Dogs (LASD), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals who work through various medical challenges. Psychiatric disabilities are often overlooked because they are invisible to the eye, but I know firsthand how it is a condition that can be even more detrimental than some challenges which are strictly physical.
I have lived my whole life struggling with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD); all of which I wasn’t officially diagnosed until a little over a year ago. As a result of my disabilities, I have ingrained memories of intense panic attacks, feeling unable to truly learn how to drive until just recently, missing work and school, and always feeling like I’m somewhere else in my head. I have battled insomnia, agoraphobia, and more. While I have been lucky enough to have access to resources to help me live my day-to-day life, these challenges still exist.
Little Angel Service Dogs has the opportunity to help me live a healthier and fuller life with the support from a skilled and trained dog. At this point, I bet you are wondering why I am writing to you. It costs Little Angels a minimum of $38,000 to raise, train, and place a service dog. This expense includes, and is not limited to food, medical care, breeding costs, supplies (including crates, food dishes, toys, collars, poop bags, etc.), overhead costs, and of course paying the licensed trainers at Little Angels. Little Angels Service Dogs relies heavily on the generosity of donors like yourself to help me raise the funds for people like myself to be placed with a special little angel. Every dollar donated goes directly to the training and placement of service dogs for people just like me!
Most of us know the gift it is to have a furry companion, but for those of us with loved ones who work through more than we can ever fully understand, this gift is truly life-changing. This organization is as passionate and dedicated as they come. The process involved in training and caring for a puppy who will someday serve as a powerful companion to an individual with special needs requires the special level of passion found at Little Angels Service Dogs.
I need you to help me raise $38,000 for Little Angels. If you’re able, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Little Angels Service Dogs. Most importantly, I want to thank you for taking the time to read my story.

We train dogs to assist their recipients with Mobility Tasks, Seizure & Diabetic Alert, Hearing Loss, Autism, PTSD, Panic Attacks as well as many other needs. Most of the dogs we place are puppies that have come from our own breeding program and are raised from birth with the specific goal of being an Assistance Dog. Others are lucky enough to be rescued from local shelters and rescue programs and end up changing the lives of others. Each dog's training is personalized to help the needs of their individual handler. For more information please click on the following link.
