Amir Noor Mustafa sadly passed away on 17th July 2012, at the young age of 25 years. He was the most kind, caring and compassionate person who always had the biggest smile on his face. Mustafa was extremely generous, hard working and ambitious who was admired by friends and family. He loved to make people feel welcome in his home and would go out of his way to help a friend. His death has shocked and affected his family, friends and the entire community and he will be truly missed.
It is certain that we all will be returned to Allah Azza Wa Jall yet are any of us truly prepared to meet our Lord? Our good deeds that we gather in this dunya are a stepping-stone to help us secure a place in Jannah. Alhumdulillah Mustafa was very much aware of this and strived to attain this success.
The Mercy of our Lord lets us continue to build on our good deeds even after we have left this world.
Our Beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: sadaqah jaariyah (on-going charity) beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), or a righteous child who will pray for him." (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no 1376; he said this is a saheeh hasan hadeeth)
Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the mother of Sa’d ibn ‘Ubaadah (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father) died when he was away from her. He said: "O Messenger of Allaah, my mother has died and I am away from her. Will it benefit her anything if I give in charity on her behalf?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Then I ask you to be my witness that I am giving my garden al-Mikhraaf (so called because it bore so many dates) in charity on her behalf." (Reported by al-Bukhaari, Fath, 2756)
Abu Hurayrah reported that a man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): "My father has died and left money behind. He did not make a wasiyyah (a will); will it expiate for his sins if I give some of it in charity on his behalf?" He said, "Yes." (Reported by al-Nisaa’i)
Sa’d ibn ‘Ubaadah said: "I said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah, my mother has died. Should I give charity on her behalf?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ I asked, ‘What kind of charity is best?’ He said, ‘Providing water.’" (Reported by al-Nisaa’i)
We are aiming to InshaAllah have a well built in Kenya as a form of Sadaqa Jaariya on behalf of Mustafa. Providing Water for an area which has been heavily affected by drought is not only beneficial to the people who are most needy but can benefit Mustafa by continuing his good deeds in his final resting place.
A deep water well in Africa costs approximately £3000 and will help provide water for an entire village. We are aiming to have this well sponsored by all of Mustafa’s well wishers and your help would be greatly appreciated. You can donate by clicking on the ‘just giving’ link which is safe and easy. The money will go directly to the charity and if you are a UK taxpayer Gift Aid will be reclaimed on every eligible donation.
Please continue to keep Mustafa in your Duas,
Thank you
