Story

Sadie died 29th November 2020 aged 94 years. Sadie was much loved by her family and friends and touched many lives with her positive approach to life. Her smile says it all.

Her family have setup this page to receive donations in her memory. Sadie was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in her later life. We intimately know as a family how devastating this disease is.

Sadie knew also it was devastating and once wrote in her diary that she wished never to have this terrible disease after witnessing the decline and death of a friend in the 1990s. She carried herself with immense dignity on her diagnosis knowing how her future would play out. We think she would eternally approve of this page and donations to Alzheimer's disease research.

The money raised will directly go to Alzheimer's research at the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN), University of Sheffield, a research institute that specializes in neurodegenerative disease research. For further details please see the website www.sheffield.ac.uk/sitran.

It is straightforward  to make a donation and we refer you to the 'Give now' button. You may leave a message too, if you so wish. We really do appreciate any donation that you have to give.

Jane, Ruth, Robin and the rest of the Livesey family.
