I am running the Brighton Marathon... 26 miles!! I have chosen to donate all the proceeds to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. The reason for this is because as a child myself and my own son, who is now 2 years old, both have hip dysplasia. He and I had numerous operations and casts, Alfie for a year and me up until the age of 5. Fortunately we were treated at our local hospital but there was a time we thought we would have to be treated at GOSH.

I want to do all I can to help raise money for the fantastic work they do at GOSH. All the lives they save. The children that they help and the support they provide to the parents. Its amazing to think all the money I raise will go to helping all those children get the right treatments to let them go on and live a happy life. It has always been a charity I wanted to support and do make monthly contributions. Obviously having a child that has had lots of hospital visits and seeing what they do at GOSH, it's always been close to my heart. Ireally do admire all the work the staff put in and how they dedicate their time and lives to do what is, probably, one of the toughest jobs but also, one of the most rewarding.

All of the above is why I am training so hard to complete the Brighton Marathon. Please dig deep and donate now. You don't realise how many children's lives you can save & improve by just a small donation.
