Story
ICELAND 2019 August: I am trekking 80km to raise money for women in Asia much less fortunate than I.
On 20th August, 2019, I will be joining Her Planet Earth (https://www.herplanetearth.com/) and other like-minded women from around the world to complete 80km trek over 4 days through Iceland's challenging terrain. I will be living like a nomad for 8 days - something I've not done before!
My expedition is entirely self-funded which means 100% of the funds raised on Challenge Iceland 2019 will go directly towards projects that help underprivileged women.
The focus will be on the ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT of women in rural areas of Asia, esp. Bangladesh, Nepal and Vietnam - with the belief that women have the right and the need to be at the forefront of domestic and economic efforts to deal with CLIMATE CHANGE.
** When women are given financial opportunity, we rise to the occasion with majesty to take on the responsibility and role of caregiver, and organizer, and can prosper for the entire family.
All funds raised on Challenge Iceland 2019 will go towards projects that help underprivileged women specifically by Climate Change - Climate Change which has effected their environment, and thus their livihood (which is their livestock, crops, water source), and has ultimately negatively impacted they and their family's wellbeing.
Living consciously and with intention, educating kids on sustainability and sustainable living, and human rights is been my last year's calling.
