AsalamuAlaikum,

Mosques are the heart and soul of our beloved community. They are an important place to us spiritually, socially and educationally. It is commendable to see where muslims in The Gambia pray. Most of the masjids are shacks and just about have a roof. 

We want to renovate the masjid in the picture. This is currently being used as a Masjid and as you will see, this is just a shell and praying inside it is currently difficult. 

It is narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) mentioned,

“Whoever build a mosque for Allah – be it large or small – Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” [Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 439, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 533]
