Terms and conditions

1             How to participate

1.1         This raffle is operated by SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK Ltd of SUEZ House, Grenfell Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 1ES (“SUEZ”, “we”, “our” or “us”).

1.2         Each raffle entry is £5.00, and payment can be made in advance online via JustGiving at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/SUEZTheBigClimb or in cash to the SUEZ Macmillan regional champion or site volunteer to obtain your number (please email givingsomethingback.uk@suez.com for more information on cash donations). 

1.3         All entries must include your name, email address, postal address (including postcode), and telephone number. You will be contacted to obtain this information.

1.4         All monies raised by this raffle will help fund general work of Macmillan Cancer Support in supporting those with cancer.

1.5         You may enter this raffle as many times as you wish.

1.6         Your raffle number will be confirmed by email or post within 21 days. No physical raffle ticket will be issued.

2             Start date

2.1         This raffle will open on 10 August 2021 for our employees and for friends and family of our employees.

3             Closing date

3.1         The closing date for this raffle will be on 30 September 2021 at 5.00pm.  Entries received by SUEZ after this time will be void and will not be entered into this raffle.

4             Selection of the winner

4.1         There will be a maximum of 10 winners and the 10 prizes will be ‘unlocked’ from the advertised list of prizes as we climb higher as an organisation in the Macmillan Big Climb. This is tracked via ChallengeHound.

4.2         The winners will be the first entrants randomly selected from all entries correctly submitted for each of the unlocked prizes in accordance with these terms and conditions.

5.1       Costs for travel to prize destination is not included and winners will need to make their own way to these places if they win. SUEZ may substitute a voucher alternative for the prize.

5.2      The prizes are non-transferable and does not include any additional costs and expenses.

6        Restrictions and requirements

6.1       Entrants must be over 18 to be eligible to enter this raffle.

6.2       Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be void and will not be entered into this raffle.

7          Notification of the results and receipt of the prize

7.1       SUEZ will notify the winners by email on or before 21 October 2021.

7.2       The winners will receive their prizes on or before 11 November 2021.

8          Publicity and personal information

8.1       SUEZ will use your personal information only in accordance with these terms and conditions and our https://www.suez.co.uk/en-gb/components/privacy-policy.

8.2       The first name and surname and site location of the winners will be published on the SUEZ intranet, Yammer page and other internal communications channels such as the CEO bulletin and regional directors’ bulletins. If a family member or friend of an employee wins, their first name and surname will be published, as well as the name and site of the employee that they are related to.

8.3       If you do not want your first name, surname and site included on the list of winners referred to above, you must notify SUEZ a reasonable period of time before the closing date of the raffle.

8.4       You acknowledge that you may be asked to participate in publicity if you are selected as a winner.

9          General

9.1       SUEZ cannot not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate; or for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged, or delayed in transit.

9.2       The use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.

9.3       Entrants acknowledge that copyright in submissions will be owned by SUEZ. Entrants agree to assign to SUEZ all intellectual property rights in the submission with full title guarantee and to waive their moral rights.

9.4       While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, we will not be legally responsible to entrants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to us or to the entrant at the time of entry to the raffle or which are caused by a third party.

9.5       These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, although if you are resident elsewhere you will retain the benefit of any mandatory protections given to you by the laws of the country in which you live.

9.6       Any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. As this clause is non-exclusive, you can choose whether to bring a claim in the courts of England or in the courts of another part of the UK in which you live.

10        Win a Tesla Model X P100D or X 100D for the weekend –
additional T&Cs

10.1      Only SUEZ employees are eligible to win and drive the Tesla for the weekend. The prize cannot be transferred to a friend or family member of an employee.

10.2       Newly qualified drivers or drivers under the age of 25 are not eligible for this prize.

10.3       SUEZ will cover the costs of car hire, delivery and pickup, and insurance for one driver (who must be a SUEZ recycling and recovery UK employee). Hire is for the weekend (two days only) but can be adjusted to during the week if preferred. No other expenses, for example, cost of hotels or food, and cost of extra mileage/fuel over what is agreed, are included.

10.4       SUEZ does not take responsibility for information provided and all driver details provided will be checked with the DVLA. 

10.5       The final hire contract will be between the winner and the car hire company and SUEZ accepts no responsibility in relation to any mishaps, accidents or other natural or otherwise event that prevents the winner from fully enjoying the prize.
