Story
Thank you so much for supporting the STV Children's Appeal.
Sean Batty and Laura Boyd are travelling coast to coast, from Oban to Dundee and are battling it out to raise as much as they can for the STV Children's Appeal.
The STV Children’s Appeal was launched in 2011 to raise funds and help make a real difference to the one in four children and young people living in poverty in Scotland.
The STV Children’s Appeal offers practical help like food and warm clothes; creates opportunities for training and employability; and enables social and emotional support. It works closely with Scotland’s leading experts in the field of child poverty, sharing knowledge and expertise with both small community groups and national charities on their experiences of addressing the challenges of child poverty in Scotland.
In just ten years the Appeal has managed to raise over £29 million and has made over 2,000 large and small awards across all 32 local authority areas in Scotland, providing much needed support to tens of thousands of children and young people.
