Story

Alan Kyte, Richard Walby, Paul Ring and Mark Race are heading off on Jan 25th to Loh/Thurmansbang-Solla deep in the Bavarian Forest, to take part in the now infamous Elephant Rally. They will be riding and camping deep snow, not the natural habitat of a motorbike and a challenge for even the most hardened of motorcyclists. The wind chill is on average -16° C for a bike goint at 60mph on the motorway. Camping temperatures on average are -3° / -5° and can drop to -18°.

Our trip is dedicated Steve Edwards a friend of Alan’s and a returnee to biking in recent years; who sadly passed away from cancer at the tender age of 48 In November 2011.

All donations raised will be going to St Luke's Hospice in Basildon, for whom two thirds of their budget depends on fundraising.

We chose this charity because they gave Steve dignity and care in his final days.
