Story
Hi There!
Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page.
We're climbing Mount Snowdon to mark one of our friends CELEBRATING 10 years of having a brain disease.
We want to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, who's vital research and exceptional care 10 years ago, gave our friend the chance to finish School, University and to currently be able to navigate working life in the capital. All staff provided exceptional round-the-clock care for our friend and whilst we will be forever indebted to the Hospital, we would like to show our support by donating as much as we can so that other children and their families are able to have the level of support that our friend did, so that they too, can have an opportunity of navigating their own lives in whichever way they wish.
Please support team Basal GangGang (aptly named after our friends disease - Biotin Thiamine Responsive Basal Ganglia Disease, a rare neurological disease in which only 148 cases have been recorded worldwide - our friend being the 21st person to be diagnosed) as we climb the highest mountain in Wales by sharing this page or donating wherever you can. Every donation, however big or small, is extremely extremely appreciated.
Thanks so so so much in advance!
Like one of the greatest philosophers of our generation once said, "Life's a climb, but the view is great" - Hannah Montana.
Here’s hoping the views at 3,560ft are brill!
