Story

Blood Sweat & Gears

In September 2022, 12 members of the Old Brodleians Cycle Club (OBCC) will undertake the challenge of cycling Lands End to John O Groats in 9 days (Circa 110 miles per day - not bad for a group with an average age of 60...)

Many of us have been or will be affected by Cancer and/or Parkinson's within our lifetimes and within the last couple of years two of our friends and members have been diagnosed with these terrible diseases.

In 2019 Stephen Hopkinson was diagnosed with Parkinson's, a progressive neurological disease for which there are lots of treatments, therapies and support however there is currently no cure. Stephen continues to do well

In 2021 David Hopkinson was diagnosed with cancer, fortunately Dave has recently received the all clear and will be riding with us.

We want to do all we can to support the charities looking for a cure helping our friends and many others like them. We are very grateful for your donation however large or small - please give generously.

Thank You
