Hi!

Following the news about Danish footballer Christian Eriksen's Sudden Cardiac Arrest, you may be more aware than ever of the need for Public Access Defibrillators (PADs).

If an ambulance is called for a suspected cardiac arrest, the handler will ask the caller to collect the PAD if there is one within 200m.

My community doesn't have a public defibrillator for several miles. If anyone in this area needed defibrillation, they would have to wait for an ambulance.

The money raised will be in aid of Community Heartbeat Trust in order for us to host a defibrillator. The money would pay for the defib, cabinet, installation, training, insurance, ongoing costs, and accessories.

I don't personally have a story about Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and I hope that will continue to be the case.
