Story
Myself & my friend Sam Chesworth decided to enter this crazy race initially to push ourselves & to try & get that little bit fitter, but we then thought that in doing this we could try to raise some money for Cancer Research.
Like a lot of people in this world we have both lost people close to us due to Cancer. Both of our wives mums passed away from Cancer in recent years so for me I am doing this in my mum in laws memory. I hope that raising these funds it will go a little way toward helping find a cure for this awful disease.
You aren't just sponsoring us for the 3 days it will take to cover the 190 miles but you are sponsoring us for the 3 months dedication we will have to give toward training for this event, neither of us are athletes & this will be the biggest physical challenge that we have ever undertaken in our lives. 190 miles doesn't sound a lot if you are on a road but this is all off road across the Lake district, Yorkshire dales & moors through whatever the weather will throw at us whether it is hot, cold or wet this will be a huge physical & mental challenge. Here is the website to find out more details about this challenge. www.ratracecrossing.com
