We help imprisoned parents to keep in touch with their children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

****The event is organised by the Vranch House children's charity, based in Exeter and we will be splitting the money with them****

The 4 'escapees' all work for Storybook Dads in HMP Dartmoor. We work alongside prisoners helping them to keep in touch with their children and we see the enormous difference it makes to both parent and child. Over 160,000 children are affected by parental imprisonment each year and the effects can be devastating. By helping to keep the families together, reoffending is reduced by up to 6 times. The charity works in over 100 UK prisons and last year we reached over 20,000 beneficiaries. Take a look at our website to see videos and read case studies www.storybookdads.org.uk

We are a small charity and we don't receive any statutory funding - we have to raise every penny outselves so please dig deep and donate now.
