I'm doing a skydive to raise funds for the charity Microtia UK as my nephew Charlie, who is 7 years old, was born with the condition. Microtia is a rare condition, affecting every 1 in 6000 babies each year. Microtia UK is a registered charity that is dedicated to supporting people affected by the condition which can result in underdeveloped or missing ear(s) and associated hearing loss. With it being rare, it means the charity is small and relies on fundraisiers to help the charity grow and fund research projects which benefits the wider microtia community.
