In September 2017 Sara and Katie are going to Madagascar to take part in a 350km cycle challenge to raise money for the Genesis Research Trust, This charity funds research into the issues of stillbirth, miscarriage, birth defects and problems with fertility whilst also improving the treatments for many female cancers.

It is very likely you know somebody who has been deeply affected by one or more of these conditions. Sara experienced the loss of a beautiful baby boy who was born asleep 23 years ago.  A member of Katie's family  suffers  from PCOS . Many other friends have been affected by other experiences. Our desire to take part in this challenge is fuelled by the knowledge that all money raised will fund life-changing research to help other families.

This women-only challenge is covering a distance of 350km over 5 days around the stunning island of Madagascar. As we whizz by we will be taking in highland villages, paddy fields, plantations and Indian Ocean coastal trails – it sounds like paradise but it is going to be the toughest adventure of my life. Training has started already to ensure I am physically fit to undertake such a challenge.
