We Support adults with brain injuries to promote independence and happiness

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving Page in memory of David White, my beloved Grandad who we tragically lost on 20th September last year. His  last years were more challenging after his speach, mobility and cognitive function were all affected by a stroke in 2007.  He was a charming, funny, caring and sensitive man who loved his family very much.  He had a wonderful fulfilled life. On the anniversary of his death im doing this run in his honour and as part of my mission to keep challenging myself.

The charity headway is one of the official charities for the Tonbridge half and it aims to raise awareness of all types of brain injury, including those related to accidents. Their mission is:

To promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provide information, support and services to survivors, their families and carers. In addition, Headway will campaign to reduce the incidence of brain injury.

If you’d like to make a donation to Headway in West Kent I’d be very grateful, as it will help them support those affected by brain injury to to live well following their experience. Thank you.
