Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year, I'm running for the Scottish Association for Mental Health, supporting those living in Scotland with mental health issues, as well as those impacted by this. There are community-based programmes for everything from housing to addiction. They run the national anti-stigma campaign See Me, and the anti-bullying campaign Respect Me. They also provide employment support, as well as a host of information and advice. Whether you're a student looking for a bit of extra support as you move to Scotland, or a carer looking after a someone with a mental health condition, this is the place to go to find information.
The theme of this year's run is... SABOTAGE. Whether the Beastie Boys version or the Cancer Bats version, it's been a tough year in terms of my mental and physical health. Between a broken toe and a twisted ankle, I've lost three months worth of training time. Life has been difficult, and that's impacted on my writing and my mental well-being.
But now I've moved up to Glasgow and I'm making a fresh start in my life - new degree course, new career, new everything (I'm pretty sure I'm still me)! And I can't think of a better way to mark that than with two and a half hours running about in one of the hilliest cities I've ever lived in.
Here comes the technical bit...
