As many of you know I was in training to run a 10k for charity last year when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Following 3 operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy I have now been pronounced clear, thankfully.  Many people, however, are not as fortunate as I have been with the support I have had from both work colleagues and friends.  Nor are they as well as I was, which is where the amazing work of MacMillan comes into its own.  They are there to support both you, your family and your employer with advice throughout.  They are there with financial help and advice for those who are in need of help due to the very real added expense which having cancer incurs.  And the nurses are there to help look after those who unfortunately need care in the latter stages of their life.  All this could not be done without your generosity as MacMillan relies totally on your donations.  Any money you choose to give will directly help to relieve the suffering of someone who is much less fortunate than me.  I am unable to run again, but have chosen to walk to raise money to support the work they do.
