Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month. It's also the month, that we are waiting to find out what the next course of treatment is that Ant will receive, following another relapse. It's been 8 years of near constant treatment and recovery for Ant's Mantle Cell Lymphoma, and it's often the waiting that we find the hardest.
Therefore, this month, whilst I am trying to be patient, I will focus some energy on going for a walk each day, aiming for an average of 10,000 steps. Then, on Saturday 1st October, Becky, Ben and Joe (and some other friends and family members) will join in too, for a long walk (over 12 miles) from our home to Halnaker Windmill and back, one of Ant's favourite spots.
Ant has had treatment under many hospitals now, but without a doubt we love it the most, when he can be seen in Chichester. We are SO grateful to The Fernhurst Centre, Chichester who have been with us along the journey. No other hospital has compared to the friendly, comfortable and familiar environment that The Fernhurst provides.
We want to fundraise for The Fernhurst Centre, through The Friends of Chichester Hospitals, to give a little something back and help to support more people and families who are going through similar experiences to us.
