I have signed up to run the Manchester 10k in May this year and the race for life in Alexander Park Oldham in June and it makes sense to try and raise some cash for a very worthy cause while I am doing it. I have chosen cancer research because my Dad died of cancer when I was nineteen and my beautiful children, Lucy, Faye and Guy never knew their wonderful Grandad.

Although the races I am running are not marathons the battle against cancer is. Cancer is an evil disease that takes parents from their children and children from their parents.

 So please dig deep and sponsor me as much as you can.
