This year marks the 10th anniversary of our beautiful Emma’s death, she would have been 18 this year. Emma was diagnosed with Leukaemia when she was just 3yo and died aged 8 because of this cruel disease. Emma went through what no child should ever have to, yet her amazing spirit and courage never faltered despite living with cancer and its gruelling treatments for so long. Watching her deteriorate over a long, protracted time and not being able to do anything to stop it was the very worst experience. We miss her more than words can ever say. What a thing we all went through 💔
:
Children with cancer and their families need two things; better, kinder and more effective treatments plus support during and after their cancer journey. The NHS provide standard treatment protocols but the new treatments, research and support for families comes mainly from charity.
:
Since Emma died our family have supported Children's Cancer North as they provide these things to children in the north of England. To mark Emma’s 18th birthday and the 10th anniversary of her death this year; myself, Emma’s hero big brother Kie, her Grandad John and my husband Nick will be walking the Yorkshire 3 peaks on the 15th July to raise money for this amazing charity to help the many children just like Emma who deserve what every child should have - the chance to grow old. ❤️
Please, if you can, sponsor us a few £££ to help and support families currently affected by the nightmare of childhood cancer and to honour the memory of a truly exceptional and beautiful little girl 😇
