On the 10th April 2014 my good friend Goncalo Gil lost his father in law Christian Deschamp after many years of suffering with Parkinson's disease. Goncalo, Chris Wares and myself decided to attempt a three day cycle trip from St Albans to Paris in Christians memory and to raise sponsorship for the Parkinson's UK charity. This trip will be self funded so that all sponsorship raised will go to Parkinson's UK. We will be riding alone and not part of any other bike event, so will have no road support for the three days we are on the road. If something goes wrong we only have our wits and bike repair skills to keep us going. We shall be leaving St Albans on the 2nd May and aim to reach Paris on the 4th in hopefully plenty of time to get our booked Eurostar train back!
