Just finished my longest run of the 12 week training programme. Another he next time I have to do 22miles will be in a few weeks time in Liverpool. Thanks to everyone for your support so far.
"Every child needs an adult who is irrationally committed to their success." (Sir David Bell, Chapel St Advisory Board). Running marathons has never felt like a rational exercise to me, which begs the question as to why I'm running another 26.2 miles now that I'm in my forties?
Over the next 12 months, Chapel St will demonstrate, what appears to some, an irrational commitment to children and families in Atherton and Oxford by creating two brand new community schools. However, for us it makes perfect sense as we are determined to help these children and families to build a brighter future. Running the long and winding road that is the Liverpool Marathon is one irrational thing I can do to go to the extra mile for these families and communities and if you could help by sponsoring me, we'll make sure your investment goes even further.
Every penny you give will help Chapel St to introduce Project Based Learning in our schools. This innovation in education enables children to learn through creative projects and activities that engage families and the community and is changing the face of schooling in different parts of the world.
Whether rational or irrational we're really grateful for your generosity to the children and families that we are commited to serve. Thanks for just giving.
