I hit fifty in March 2015 so late last year I decided that it's about time that I got fit (stop laughing!!!) I was inspired to help fundraise at the same time by a friend who's daughter has been hughly supported by the Sheffield Childrens Hospital. I met some of the group my friend is involved with at my first 10K run in October 2014. The group are tirlessley fundraising for the Sheffield Childrens Hospital and have a target of £10,000. They have embarked on numerous fundraising activities to support this amazing cause and I could not help being inspired to join in. I have three daughters and two grandchildren (soon to be three) and really appreciate just what a brilliant childrens hospital we have, and how lucky the people of Sheffield and surrounding areas are to have access to this facility. 

So that's my story, I wanted my fitness crusade to do others some good, so wish me luck and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supports me and the hospital with their  much appreciated donations.
