Story
Dear Friends!
I'm cycling 200 miles in 2 days across the mountainous terrain of Majorca in October this year in aid of raising funds to support Teens Unite. I did something similar last year and my arse is still feeling the pain from it, those of you that know me well will have noticed that I don't walk that comfortably any more.....! I don't actually like cycling that much, neither am I any good at it, so this isn't something I am overly looking forward to it but it's for an excellent cause and a great event to participate in to raise awareness for a brilliant charity!
In addition, my wife, Mechelle, and I will be running in the British 10k on Sunday 10th July for the same charity! Mechelle, will also be organising some further events leading up to the cycle so this page is really for the both of us! No donation is too small, a fiver will be as greatly appreciated as any other donation.
Teens Unite is a great charity, which helps young people aged between 13 – 24 fight the battle of cancer. I attended a planning event on Tuesday 28th June for the cycle event, where I met young girl who had fought cancer and had received help from the Teens Unite charity, her story was quite remarkable and made me appreciate how precious life really is, and how the small things in life make a difference.
Teens Unite’s main aim is to get teens together as often as possible in a fun-filled environment; giving them the chance to talk to each other and gain strength from realising that they are not alone in their battle. Alongside regular fun days out, Teens Unite also provides many opportunities for teens to gain valuable life and career skills. From internships, to fundraising schemes, to teen organised and run events.
