I have this year been lucky enough to gain a place in the London Marathon which is happening on 2nd October 2022.

I have decided to not only do this for myself but attempt to raise a bit of money for a small charity Widowed and Young. The reason for this is that following the sudden death of my brother in law Rob aged 37 just under 6 years ago I know how supportive this small charity was to my sister and therfore wanted to show some appreciation for the work that they do.

"WAY is the only national charity in the UK for people aged 50 or under when their partner died. It’s a peer-to-peer support group operating with a network of volunteers who have been bereaved at a young age themselves, so they understand exactly what other members are going through."
