2015 saw Team Garbo raise a phenomenol amount of Money for Prostate Cancer.
So guess what..........
In 2016 we are going to do it all over again!!
2016's race will see Team Garbo departing for the Nothern route of #F2A from Barnsley for the 150 mile gruelling cycle to Amsterdam to raise more Money for this Amazing charity.
Please read below my reason for continuing to support Prostate Cancer.
For those of you that were so kind and generous to support my cycle earlier this year I am very grateful for your kind donation and would appreciate any amount of support you are able to give again to this fantastic cause.
In April 2014 my 10 year old stepson was diagnosed with Brain Cancer. at the time of Diagnosis we wasn't given a very good prognosis.
All our family and friends rallied round to send all of us to Florida for the holiday of a life time, to create some lasting memories.
Steve, being the type of gent that he was could not bare, the thought of a child having to go through the treatment, tests, appointments and the battle that he had done for number of years, and decided he was going to contribute to making sure that it really was the holiday of a lifetime. He organised for us to have use of an amazing house for the two weeks we were in Orlando. He wanted to make sure Daniel had a memory to last a life time.
Unfortunately, Steve passed away due to his fight with Prostate Cancer the week before we were due to go. We never got a chance to tell him how grateful we were to him for helping make our holiday possible. We also never got a chance to tell him that Daniel had recently been given the all clear. He was a vital part of our support network and we will always be grateful to him.
By taking part in this event, it is my way of saying thank you to him, and hopefully help towards funding research of this terrible disease.
The Challenge
